AUDIO:

Kamal Sits with Alba is an Audio Piece created collaboratively with Alba Mota during Making It Sing, a six-day audio intensive taught by John Biewen at the Center for Documentary Studies, CDS Courses. Kamal and Alba were able to both receive funding from CDS that enabled them to attend the intensive with audio producers and work on the project.  Kamal Sits with Alba is part of a long term documentary project about Alba - an activist, breast cancer survivor, immigrant, mom, yogi, mentor based in the Bronx and the Dominican Republic. Kamal met Alba during her Lewis Hine Fellowship at Friends of the Children of New York.
